Tina E. Montemayor, Ph.D., has worked as a higher education professional for over thirty-five years and currently serves as Executive Secretary to the Board of Regents for The University of Texas System in Austin, Texas. As Executive Secretary to the Board, she is primarily responsible for all meeting materials for the Board, including the agenda, minutes, research, and archives. Her priority is to fulfill the mission of the office by providing information and support for each member of the Board, while assisting executives and staff of the U. T. System Administration and its institutions, along with the general public.

Dr. Montemayor was formerly a research scientist for over 25 years and served during her tenure as laboratory manager for the Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin for 17 years. She also served as Assistant Secretary to the U. T. System Board of Regents from 2014 to 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and her Doctorate in zoology, both from U. T. Austin. She has been an active member with the AGB Board Professionals Leadership Group since 2014 and has previously served as Secretary of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Professional Development Committee, while currently serving as a member of the Board Professionals Programs Committee and on the Council of Board Professionals.
