Monica Burton has enjoyed a 20-year career in executive search during which time she has recruited senior leaders across diverse industries. While early experience included work with Fortune 500 companies and pre-eminent private equity firms, Ms. Burton always dedicated a portion of her practice to serving mission-driven organizations in education, the nonprofit sector, and healthcare. Her clients appreciate her dedication and astute ability in identifying, assessing, and recruiting the right talent for their organizations.
Prior to joining AGB Search, Ms. Burton was a partner in the Education and Non-Profit practices at a leading global search firm. Recent experience includes leading engagements for large public systems including the University of California, University of Colorado, and State University of New York, as well as for private and faith-based institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, Loyola University of Maryland, Stanford University, The Anti-Defamation League, and Trinity Church Wall Street. Her experience in higher education search spans presidential, academic, and business officer leadership roles.
An avid supporter of the arts, Ms. Burton was an early board member and currently serves as board treasurer of Keigwin + Company, a critically acclaimed, NYC modern dance troupe, while supporting individual artists in their creative pursuits.
Ms. Burton holds a bachelor’s degree in French and Government from Georgetown University, and she studied comparative foreign policy in Paris at L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
