Dimitria A. Harding, Ed.D, was appointed Interim Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Anoka Technical College in August 2022. Previously, Dr. Harding served as the Dean of Health Sciences and Dean of Career and Technical Education at South Central College, located in North Mankato and Faribault, Minnesota.
Dr. Harding has a strong commitment to higher education, especially among underserved populations, and works towards creating pathways to success and eliminating the achievement gap. As the Dean of Health Sciences and Career and Technical Education, Dr. Harding serves as a member of Deans’ Council, using her expertise within leadership, healthcare, and career-based education alongside South Central College’s Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, Academic Deans, and Associate Vice Presidents to advance the mission of the college by creating and implementing strategies which focus on the holistic needs of students.
As a servant leader, Dr. Harding believes in putting others first, creating a vision, and leading ethically, with humility, grace, and self-awareness. Prior to her current role, Dr. Harding spent over 15 years in the healthcare industry as a Cytotechnologist, screening cells under the microscope for the presence of cancer and other diseases. Dr. Harding then became an award-winning faculty member, program director, department chair, and Dean of Academics within the private, non-profit, and for-profit education sectors.
Dr. Harding serves on several boards and is part of the inaugural cohort of the Postsecondary State Career Technical Education (CTE) Leaders Fellowship at Advance CTE– Sponsored by ECMC Foundation, which strives to advance diversity within state postsecondary Career and Technical Education leadership and build the knowledge and social capital to be a skilled, equity-minded leader.
Dr. Harding. earned her Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University, her Master of Science degree in Community Health, and Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Old Dominion University and is currently working towards an MBA.
