Charlie Shorter was previously an AGB Board member, and currently sits on the AGB Search Advisory Board. He is a Trustee of the City University of New York (CUNY) where he serves on the Facilities Planning and Construction Committee, as well as the Committee for Academic Policy. The University comprises 25 institutions: 11 Senior Colleges, seven Community Colleges, an honors college and six professional schools, enrolling over 275, 000 degree-seeking students. Charlie also taught for 20 years in the Masters in Real Estate Development at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. His professional career, as an Executive Director at Ernst & Young, has been in real estate analysis and economic development throughout the United States. He has been involved in the redevelopment of 42nd Street in New York City, the development of the Studio Museum in Harlem, the World Trade Center 911 Memorial, and the mixed-use “Yards” Project in Washington, DC.
