About the Institute

Turn Ambition into Reality

The AGB Institute for Leadership & Governance in Higher Education is designed for small groups of select participants who aspire to presidencies at four-year public research universities and regional comprehensive institutions. The Institute’s unique focus on both leadership cultivation and building relationships with Boards of Trustees makes it a critical program for tomorrow’s presidents.

The Institute is also an excellent program for recently appointed presidents who wish to sharpen their leadership skills. New presidents identify leadership development as the second most important professional training opportunity needed on the job (after fundraising). The AGB Institute for Leadership & Governance can help newly appointed presidents navigate their ever-evolving role.
